Black History Month
Task 1:1.    Who is William Hall? Why is it significant to mention him in this video?
He is a first Canadian sailor, The first Nova Scotian and the first black to receive the Victoria cross.

 
2.    Who was the first person to edit a newspaper in North America?

Marry Ann shad carry was the first women of African descent to edit a news paper.

 
3.    Find the meaning of the following words and then put them in sentences of your own

 a. Contribution-He published three song-books, and contributed to several others.
 b.Aspects-Language both represents and reflects many aspects of a culture.
c. Heritage-Every country has a different heritage activities.
d. Ethnic- All of the Canadians First Nations are ethnic.
e.Diverse- The black community in Canada is extremely diverse


Task 2

February is Black History Month to celebrate the identity and accomplishments of one of Canada's largest ethnic groups. Watch this second video and write what you think about it; don't exceed 50 words. 




BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Black history month is a month set aside to learn, and celebrate the achievement of black men and women throughout history. Black history is the study of African American history, culture, and accomplishment. Black history month has always been celebrated in February.
